President's Corner | April 2026
As I finish up my last days as President of OCSC, I reflect back to when I joined this club. I never gave a thought to being on the board, let alone becoming President. OCSC is a very complex organization, and many different events come into play here. I was involved in many sub-club activities where I learned moreand more about this club. I have met many new friends here and have lost many friends who will be remembered forever.
Our new leadership will be taking over very soon, but our achievements havebeen a group effort. I have had lots of help. We, as a group, have accomplished many goals: the new construction of our outdoor range, taxes and financials all caught up, new procedures put in place, new club manager Paul Biediger, and new media coordinator, Michelle Primeaux, in charge of the Club Magazine and other postings in emails and on websites.
We have a new 1st VP, Mike Stailey, who hasbeen very busy fixing our key card access, and a new Trustee, Scott Deshetler, filling in an empty seat on the Board.
We are still looking for a 2nd VP in charge of grounds. Mike Stailey has made this club one of the top Steel Challengeshooting clubs in the USA.
We also have two Grand Master IDPA shooters now in the club, which is very rare: Brian Wice and Mat Hall.
Archery has been very busy with lots of events events and a great turnout every time.
The WHRRI race track will be opening soon withmany race dates already on the calendar.
Finally, it has been my honor to have served as your president of OCSC.
Warren Pratt,
OCSC President
