MUCC Update | February 2026

Hello OCSC Members,
As we begin the 2026 year, there are many exciting and positive things happening at Oakland County Sportsman’s Club. The Muzzleloaders Club organized a Hunter’s Banquet that served over 200 attendees. Personally, I enjoyed the elk meatballs (I confess I snuck back for seconds). Please let the folks who provided this wonderful event know you appreciate the hard work involved in serving up such a delicious meal.
Our Archery Club recently hosted a successful Independent Archers Association (IAA) competitive tournament, and D.R. Wilson / IDPA held a very successful Tier 2 match. Both events were well attended and reflect the continued growth and strong participation within our
club.
Looking ahead to 2026, there is even more to be excited about. D.R. Wilson / Steel Challenge will be hosting a State Championship this June. In addition, the Range Safety Committee is in the early stages of developing new offerings for our members, including new shooter instruction and Concealed Pistol License (CPL) classes. These efforts are focused on expanding training
opportunities and promoting safe firearms use throughout the club.
Beginning in February, OCSC will be completing upgrades to the key card access system for the Indoor Range, Outdoor Range, and Shotgun areas. This upgrade will require all active members to obtain a new key card from the Main Office. If you have already received your new card for Archery, there is nothing further you need to do.
Our most excellent Social Media Coordinator, Michelle Primeaux, will be providing updates through email blasts as the project moves forward. Please be sure the office has your current email address on file so you do not miss important announcements.
As always, I look forward to seeing everyone at the club and wish you a safe and successful year
ahead.
Sincerely,
Mike Stailey
