The DR Wilson Precision Pistol(Bullseye) Team, again corrals most of the SEMPA Awards for the 2025-26 season.
SEMPA (Southeastern Michigan Pistol Assoc.), is the oldest pistol league in the United States. Today, it is comprised of 7 teams and 90 active pistol shooters. The indoor league is an 8 month postal competition, comprised of 18 rimfire matches and 12 centerfire matches, shot from September to May, each year.
An Awards Banquet is held in May to recognize those teams and shooters who have achieved top honors in several categories. Since 2019, D R Wilson has managed to dominate the other 6 teams in an extraordinary manner, winning multiple trophies and awards each year.
The team took 4 out of 6 Team Awards and 12 out of 20 Individual Awards.

Individual Awards(Rimfire)– High Score, Cliff Roesler; High Average, Patrick Grow; High Average, Grand Senior, Tom Keel; Most Improved Female, Stella Grow
Individual Awards(Centerfire)– High Score, Cliff Roesler; High Average, Patrick Grow; High Average, Cliff Roesler; High Average, Grand Senior, Tom Keel; Most Improved, Female, Stella Grow
Team Awards(Rimfire)- 1st Place, DR Wilson; Most Improved Team- DR Wilson.
(Centerfire)– 1st Place, DR Wilson; Best Handicap Improvement, DR Wilson.
The DR Wilson Pistol Team also hosts 3 pistol matches throughout the seasonal calendar and stresses
Participation, rather than bragging rights.
The league shoots every Tuesday night from September to May, 4:30 PM to 8 PM. New shooters are welcome. Coaching is available & free!
