We are coming up to the Archery Banquet in April where we recognize all the league champions as well as those individuals who participated in the Tri-County and Michigan Archers Association tournaments. Every paid-in-full archer who shoots in a league will receive a ticket. Extra tickets are available for purchase. I do not have a price today, but I will by the time you read this article.
Contact me, John Borth, if you would like to purchase tickets. We are planning to have a wonderful time. We hope you can make it to the Banquet.
My term as Archery President is quickly coming to an end at April’s Archery Meeting. At April’s
meeting, we will be adding new people to the Archery Board, and we will vote for the Archer of the
Year, presenting this award at the Archery Banquet.
March 8 was the third leg of the Souper Sunday 3D Shootout. 63 archers showed up to the shoot. The line was almost full by the normal starting time of 9 am on the first morning of daylight savings time. It shows the dedication of archers to the trade.
We had a tremendous response from our archers who volunteered 12 choices of soups, chilis, and stews along with cornbread and cake for dessert. We appreciate the enthusiastic response from our archers.
Frankenmuth-Forest Archers won the competition over OCSC Archers by 49 points!
The Archery Championship is March 21 at 5 pm or March 22 at 10 am. Sign up on the indoor range.
The Michigan Archery Association 420 is March 28 & 29 at 10 am and 2 pm. It is our last indoor shoot of the winter season.

We are offering a new time for Outdoor workbees on Thursdays at 6 PM beginning April 2nd through the month of April. Outdoor workbees also continue Tuesdays at 9:00 AM. These workbees consist of dead tree cutting, clearing shooting lanes, and repairs to safety fences. Come out and earn hours for volunteering. We have other projects that need to be done besides cutting down trees. Give me a call to find the right project for you.
Check the Archery website for updates at: Archery Events or Archery Facebook or JOAD.
