A new world record!
Shot by Kristina Pruccoli in Barebow Senior Female at the 2025 Northern Region Indoor Championship.
Kristina shot 557 out of 600 on the first day of the shoot. She also set a national record for two consecutive days in her class. The 46 shooters who participated in this tournament had a wonderful time. We will be hosting this tournament next year.
In other news, our JOAD archer Sophia Siegfried shot this 11-point buck near Quincy, MI. This buck dressed out at 195 pounds. Congratulations on the trophy buck!
Our winter leagues, tournaments, and instruction begin to ramp up immediately after Christmas. We will start with the Archery Wall Workbee on December 27 at 8 am. Two days later, we will host the OCSC Smackdown on December 29 at 6 pm. This is a Lewis system shoot that will give everyone who shoots a better chance to be a winner.
The new year will start off with IAA 3D Indoor 30 target shoot on January 2-4. JOAD and leagues will start up afterwards. Come out and join a league. Check the Archery website for descriptions and times at: Archery Events or Archery Facebook page or JOAD.

We are still looking for a league secretary for the Traditional League either mornings or evenings. Also, we are looking for a volunteer or two to vacuum the indoor range once a week during winter leagues. All of these are good ways to get in your work hours.
January brings the return of outdoor workbees. Workbees will start at 9 am on Tuesdays. There are many trees that need to be cut down for the safety of archers on our outdoor courses. We have other tasks to be done. Give me a call if you would like to help.
Archery is looking for materials to stuff our bails. Old towels, old clothing, rags, and the like. Please remove buttons, zippers, underwires, rivets, or any other hard items that may damage arrows. Your generosity is appreciated.
Archery wishes you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
John Borth
