Vice President’s Corner | March 2026
Greetings All,
I hope this message finds y ou well. It finally feels like we’re turning the corner on winter. For the first time in weeks, I’ve been able to see bare ground around the club—spring will be herebefore we know it.
I’m pleased to report that the key card system upgrade for the entire property has been successfully completed. This was a significant undertaking, and your support made it possible. We expect this improvement will serve OCSC well for many years to come. On the competition front, the PPC match is scheduled for the last weekend of February. This is an important event for competitors in this discipline. If you’ve never shot PPC and areinterested in learning more, please reach out to Michael Graham or Scott DeShelter for additional information.
Additionally, Bowling Pin shoots have returned from their hiatus and are once again being held on Sundays. If you have an open Sunday evening, stop by the indoor range and give pinshooting a try—you might discover a new favorite activity. IDPA/USPSA Saturday practicewill continue through March, and Steel Challenge matches are scheduled to begin at the endof March. It’s shaping up to be an exciting year for competitive shooting at OCSC.
Finally, you should have received an email announcing updates to the Process & Procedures
document. The working draft is available under the “About Us” section of the OCSC website. You will find two versions: one showing the changes from the current document and the other reflecting the proposed updated document. We anticipate installing this as the official document at the February General Membership Meeting. You will also find the OCSC Constitution & Bylaws available in the same section.
I look forward to seeing you around the club.
Mike Stailey
1st Vice President
