What is USPSA?

USPSA is a dynamic, international action postol spoty that demands a balance of accurancy, power, and speed.  OCSC is a premier host club within the USPSA Michigan Section.  Whether you are aiming for Grand Master or shooting your very first action pistol match, our ranges will challenge you to break down complex arrays and execute high-hit-factor shooting.

Match Logistics

  • When: 2nd Sunday of each month (April-November)
  • Where: Action Pistol Range (APR)
  • Time: 10AM to 4PM (walk-up reg: 9:00AM – 9:45AM)
  • Format: 6 courses of fire (stages)

Required Gear

  • Ammunition: 150 to 200 rounds.  No steel core, armor-piercing, or tracer ammo (Rule 5.5.3).
  • Holster: Must securely cover the trigger guard and retain the firearm during aggressive movement (Rules 5.2.1, 5.2.4).
  • Magazines: At least 3 to 4 reliable magazines.
  • PPE: Eye and ear protection are strictly mandatory (Rule 5.4.1).

STRICT COLD RANGE POLICY

OCSC operates a strictly enforced Cold Range.  Firearms must remian UNLOADED and holstered (or securely bagged) at all times.  You may only handle your firearm at a designated Safe Table or under the direct command of a Range officer on the firing line.  Handling ammunition at a Safe Table will result in an immediare Match Disqualification (DQ) under USPSA Rule 10.5.12.
