We also have a new executive Board. Jerry Morlewski has assumed the role of President for our Club. I will take Jerry’s place as Vice President and Greg O’Daniel will assume Franz’s role as Secretary. Everyone on the Board selflessly donates their time so that we can race.

Our awards banquet will be Saturday, November 2 at the OCSC Clubhouse. There are still a few tickets available, if you haven’t gotten one yet, come join us!

It’s time to start thinking about Autorama again. The dates for 2025 are February 28, March1 and 2. Our goal is to show 6 cars, we usually end up with 4-5 trophies. I have commitments for 3 -4 cars already, pretty impressive this early in the process, but we have a need for up to 3 more. We will also need plenty of volunteers to man the booth, but we’ll get to that later.

The Mythical Forest is going on every weekend. Bring your family and check it out. The current plans are to transition it into a Christmas show sometime in November.

Since I am no longer President, this is my last chance to rant about lack of participation. From now on, Jerry will be writing the “Sticky Tires”. We are a volunteer led club. So is our parent club, OCSC. We are as much members of OCSC as we are of WHRRI. We need your help!

I have enjoyed writing these articles for the last 4 years and I thank everyone for putting up with my feeble attempts at being a writer.
