Sam Kutchsman led volunteers in building 12 new FITA field archery bale stands—a lasting investment in the club’s archery program.

On September 7th, Oakland County Sportsmen’s Club JOAD member Sam
Kutchsman turned his Eagle Scout project into a meaningful contribution to the club’s archery community. After careful planning and preparation, Sam organized the construction of 12 new FITA field archery bale stands.

The build brought together JOAD members, Archery Club members, Scouts from several troops, and family members. Throughout the day, Sam guided the group through each stage of construction, demonstrating how to properly build and assemble the stands. Volunteers worked side by side to bring his plan to life.

Now complete, the stands are a valuable addition to the club’s field archery facilities and will serve archers for years to come. The project was also a powerful example of what can be achieved through leadership, teamwork, and community involvement.

The Archery Club thanks Sam for choosing to give back to Oakland County Sportsmen’s Club. His hard work reflects the spirit of archery beyond the shooting line: service, responsibility, and a commitment to strengthening the community.
