Autorama will be here soon! Sign up on the forum or email me to come down and work our booth. It will be at Cobo, March 1, 2 and 3. We have 6 excellent cars to show, we usually come home with multiple trophies. Aside from that, while you are there you will get to see some of the finest automobiles on the planet. The work some of these shops turn out is amazing! If you volunteer, we will pay your admission, you just pay to park.
Thanks to the recent cold/snow episode, the track is probably inaccessible. It sits, looking forlorn, waiting for next season. The paddock repaving is nearly done. Preliminary work and the first course of paving are done. The final inch and a half of pavement will go down sometime in April, depending on temperature.
February and March are the months for signing up and paying dues. Make sure your physical is current, pay your OCSC dues and come see Jerry Morlewski at the meeting.
Since we are in our winter racing doldrums, there isn’t much more to say, except my usual plea for racers to also embrace volunteering. We always need help! It is usually fun, sometimes a PITA, but always rewarding. Try it! Also, come up to the Clubhouse. It is our club too. The food is good, reasonably priced, the staff is fantastic, especially the two Kims behind the bar and the beer is cold and cheap.
